Ohio Dobermans raises beautiful healthy and intelligent quality dobermans. Don is extremely knowledgeable and helpful with any questions that arise. He shows his love for the breed with his care of the puppies. I did spend more than I originally anticipated prior to my search for a healthy puppy, but I will say, my puppy is worth it!

Don has been so easy to work with, is very communicative, and always available to answer any questions. Don is an amazing breeder with such a passion. I had called a few breeders before I reached Ohio Dobermans and all of them seemed to not care about the dogs, only the money. They were 30 second conversations saying when they would be ready and how much, that’s it. With Don, I called him and we talked for almost an hour, not just about the dogs but about life as well. Through the whole process, Don was there for me to reach out to and ask any questions. He updated me any time there was something to know about and was always so kind. Also, after receiving my pup, he still answered any of the questions I had almost immediately. Don is a wonderful breeder and someone who will be there for you and the dog for the rest of their lives. You would be silly to go anywhere else to get a Doberman/life long friend. Thank you, Don!
We got our puppy, Akela, from Ohio Dobermans about five months ago. And let me just say, I will never go to another doberman breeder. Don and his family poor so much time, passion, and love into their dogs; business; and puppies that they produce. Their dogs go through extensive health testing, training, and they go through temperament testing. All to make sure that the most well rounded, top notch pups are produced. After getting a puppy (and before getting the pup!), Don is there to answer any questions you may have. He always responds and is always so happy to see their pups going to good homes. Over all, I highly, highly recommend Ohio Dobermans if you're looking for a well rounded family companion or working dog.
If you’re thinking about getting a Doberman from Ohio Dobermans, this is your confirmation to do it! My family and I connected with Don through Instagram when we began our search for a family dog. Upon meeting him, his family, and his lovely dogs we knew that a Doberman was right for us and Ohio Dobermans was going to provide us with a quality dobie to bring home. We had many questions (considering I had never owned a dog before). Don was so knowledgeable and patient. He always answered all of my questions honestly (no matter how silly: like can I dress my dog in a tutu- he brought out a dog dressed in jammies for me to see). Ohio Dobermans mentions how emotionally connected they are to their dogs and that is not just a marketing scheme. My girl is 9 months old and to this day, I am still in touch with Don- asking for advice or sharing milestones. He is still as responsive as the day we met to earn my business. He is still as concerned about my doggies well-being as the day he sent her home. If you’re wondering if his dobies are the real deal… THEY ARE! I performed 2 health panel testings which returned results of a 100% dobie with no traces of poor health genetics. I am so excited to share a long life with my dobie and have been working on convincing my husband to add another. When we’re ready, I will only consider Ohio Dobermans for my next dobie!
Our family could not be more thankful to have found Ohio Dobermans! My husband and I have been talking about getting a doberman for the past eight years, but were waiting for the right time and for when we found the right breeder. Though there are many out there, we believe we found the best of the best in terms of what we were looking for - a breeder that has the right credentials/experience, cares for the dogs/puppies, and breeds dobermans specifically to be wonderful pets. We found all of these things in Ohio Dobermans and so much more. What we came to realize is that Don and his family are kind, so helpful, so passionate and knowledgeable about what they do, and everything we could've ever hoped for in a breeder. Other friends who have bought puppies recently (other breeds/different breeders) have had the opposite experience where once they get home with their puppy, they can't get a hold of the breeder and are pretty much on their own. This is not at all how Don does things. Even my silliest questions have been answered so graciously and promptly and he's gone above and beyond in every single way. One of the things they do is temperament test each puppy to help match them appropriately with each prospective owner. We didn't know how helpful this would be at the time that we first talked with him, but in hindsight we think it's just perfect. We definitely would've picked a puppy based on all the wrong reasons and it wouldn't have been the right fit for our family. But Don knows exactly what to look for in a puppy's personality and temperament and we continue to be amazed at just how perfect our puppy is for us. His personality is exactly what we were hoping for, but would've never known how to pick out. We LOVE our new puppy so much and are so thankful to Ohio Dobermans for all they have done to help us along the way and match us with the newest member of our family. :)

Getting a puppy from Ohio Dobermans was an amazing experience. Don and his family are super easy to talk to and very responsive. He provided us with weekly updates and pictures. It took me a while to finally settle with a breeder that I felt comfortable with, Ohio Dobermans. After doing all my research and speaking with Don, and actually visiting them, I decided to go with them. I'm glad that I did, Don is very knowledgeable and very responsive whenever I called or texted him. He is true professional and they care a great deal about what they do and how they conduct their business. Their dogs are excellent and we are very happy to get our red female Doberman puppy from them.

Honestly there are not enough people in this world like Don, Christina, Nancy and Ron!! They have been very responsive to all our questions before, during and after the acquisition of our Doberman. Don/Ohio Dobermans have been professional and easy to work with since the first conversation we had. My husband and I have looked for a Doberman breeder for a while and interviewed a few. Everything felt right about working with Ohio Dobermans. Don took so much time answering our questions and listening to what we were looking for. They were extremely responsive to every call, text and message we sent. They step by step walked us through the process and helped us choose the perfect new addition to our family. We started working with them in March and finally got to bring our new little (for now) man home last weekend.
