Frequently Asked Questions

Are Dobermans good family dogs?

Our Dobermans are bred to be excellent family companions with high intelligence and a desire to be trained.  We strive to produce the best of the best!

Are your parent dogs health tested and/or titled?

Absolutely!  The extent of health testing and titles varies for each dog, and this information will be sent home with each puppy.

What type of health guarantee do you provide?

We provide a Limited Lifetime Genetic Health Guarantee.

Do you breed other types of dogs?

Nope!  Just Dobermans.

Can I pick my own puppy?

Each puppy is evaluated by a 3rd party at 7 weeks old, and their behavioral characteristics are compared to your unique experience and training goals.  You will have the opportunity to select the best possible pup for your home based on temperament!

Do you provide AKC full registration (breeding rights)?

Full registration may be granted (at no additional cost) on a case-by-case basis, conditionally, at or beyond 2 years old.  Ideally all of our pups will develop into breeding quality adults, however, in an effort to maintain the integrity of the breed, only select dogs will meet the necessary criteria for breeding.

How do I know you aren't a scammer?

Scams are abundant in our world today - especially in the dog world.  To dispel any concerns, Ohio Dobermans is available by phone, email, text, AND in-person.  We encourage you to visit our home to meet the owners, trainers, and dogs.

What should I expect to pay for a Doberman puppy?

Doberman puppies vary greatly in cost from under $1,000 to $8,000+ (and sometimes MUCH more if trained before coming home).  Most reputable breeders, including Ohio Dobermans, typically fall at or near the middle of these estimates.

How do I get a puppy from Ohio Dobermans?

The next step is a telephone call to see if one of our Dobermans would be a good fit!  I look forward to speaking with you.  Call 614-594-9442
